In Dragons of Atlantis, obtaining your Great Dragon Armor is as easy as swiping your credit card. You can purchase your Great Dragon Armor for 275 rubies, which is approximately $35 real money. This guide will show you the "long" way of obtaining your Great Dragon Armor and how to do it for a much better price...FREE!
The only drawback to this method is that it takes a fair amount of time, but if you're already spending a bunch of time in-game building, chatting, attacking, and defending, what difference does it make? Half the fun of games like Dragons of Atlantis is building your city and your army up. I actually enjoy the process more than I enjoy attacking other players and engaged in "end game" activities. If you follow this guide, soon your Great Dragon will look even more impressive than he/she already does and you'll be able to utilize him/her in your plans for your enemies.
Prepare Your City
One thing that I wish I had done before started to farm for my Great Dragon Armor was to prepare my city for when I actually got my last piece of armor. To be able to research Aerial Combat, you have to have researched Dragonry to level 8 and also have a level 8 Dragon's Keep. If you have not focused on this yet, start researching while you farm for your Great Dragon Armor so you will be ready to utilize your Great Dragon the moment you find your last piece.
Where to find Great Dragon Armor
Great Dragon Armor can be farmed from Anthropus Camps level 5 and higher. There are a total of four pieces that you will need to obtain before you have the complete set, the Dragon Helmet, the Dragon Claw Guards, the Dragon Body Armor, and the Dragon Tail Guard. Your Great Dragon does not wear any of this armor until you have found the complete set. Once you have the complete set, you are allowed to research Ariel Combat in your Science Center and allow your dragon to attack along with your troops.
Quickest Way to Farm Great Dragon Armor
Above is a screenshot of my current city and my troops. With 28,000 longbowmen (LBM), I had an ideal group to farm several level 5 Anthropus camps at a time and make quick work of finding my Great Dragon Armor.
I appointed two more generals (for a total of 4 generals at my disposal) and found the two closest level 5 Anthropus camps to my city. I was lucky and had two within two minute travel times for my longbowmen. I sent out attacks of 7,000 LBM to each camp, then followed with another wave of 7,000 LBM to each camp, and repeated the process until I had found a piece of armor.
Anthropus Camp Respawn Rates
When you wipe out an Anthropus camp, your 2nd wave of attacks does not require the same amount of troops because it takes time for the monsters to respawn. The rate of respawn is 10% of the monsters per minute, meaning that if you attack a camp, kill everything, then attack five minutes later, only 50% of the monsters normally at the camp will be there.
You can use this to your advantage and appoint more generals and hit each camp with a big wave first, then quickly follow up with smaller waves to maximize your farm time. It doesn't matter if the camp is at 100% or 10%, you still can find a piece of Great Dragon Armor.
Finding your Great Dragon Armor
You do not have to read every single battle report to know when you have found a piece of Great Dragon Armor. When you find a piece, a number one will appear on your quest button to indicate that you have completed a quest. Each piece of armor is a quest and gives you a reward. So don't waste your time reading each battle report, just keep farming and sending out waves of troops until you have all four pieces.
How many camps do I have to hit before I get all four pieces?
The actual drop rates of the Great Dragon Armor pieces are difficult to find. I have heard that the drop rates are higher as they levels of Anthropus camps increase, but I found all four of my pieces from level 5 camps. I spent about two hours using the above method and found my remaining two pieces of Great Dragon Armor. The first two pieces for me were found over a period of a few weeks where I would log in for 5 minutes, send out two waves, start building, then log out. Based on my findings today, I would guess that if you sent out four to six generals to level 5 camps, it would take you approximately 3-4 hours of game time to get your Great Dragon Armor. However, this is just an estimation and you could get all four pieces on your first four attacks or take much longer to find all of your pieces.
Now that I have all four pieces, what do I do?
Now that you have all of your dragon armor, you can start using your Great Dragon to add to your attacks. Your Great Dragon will never die, but will be wounded for an extended period of time if you are defeated in one of your attacks. This means that you would not be able to use your Great Dragon again until she heals (usually around a 24 hours).

I have been trying but i know i don't have enough fields and such yet to field so many lbm's though i have been trying to get the armor and still not had the luck..But then using the public computer where i live makes time oriented objectives hard to do. But i still thank you for your advise

If you time several attacks within a minute, the additional waves need not contain any troops.

I did it with 8000 LBM and it took about an hour. I sent all the first attack, then broke them into 4 equal groups, sent them out at 10 sec intervals, and kept sending them until I had all 4 pieces.

If you're active, just make sure that you are always training LBM (I usually do groups of 1,000 or 500) and you will hit your number sooner than you think!

i have 1980 swift strike dragon and 433 battle dragon and i am lv 12,power 29111;and my dragon's keep is lv 8 and fortress is lv 6;but i still can't defeat the lv 5 anthropus camps.i can only defeat lv 2 anthropus camp with no unit loss.and if i attack lv 3 i loss 9 units.how many more unts do i need to defeat the lv 5 ones.

Are u sending your army to the same camp to get great dragon armor until find one of them? Or do we need to send them different camps on each attack?
what reserch lvls u need? as minimum i mean too pull it off
game sucks should get free stuff more it is a jip with foturna tickets and the other game you can play they just want money wrote an note to game ccreator to get free completion grant didnt get a response but they like us the players to get our friends to play so they maximise profits so dont be a pawrn for money
I managed it in 15 mins, by attacking a level 6 camp with 10000 LBM, then following with attacks every 30sec of 10 troops. I had spent 1 hour on a level 5 camp the night before and got nothing
i got all great dragon armor less than 30 min with just 4500 LBM and 300 armored transport :)

Do you have to have your dragon with you on the attack to antrops camps to retrieve the armor? or does it need to be already at lvl 8? or can the dragon be at a lower level, not attend the attack, and i can still find amour?

there is an easier way, all u need is 4000 LBM, 200 armour transport, and 300 giants and u can easily take a lvl 6 camp with very few loses, if anything u will lose 60 giants

how about if i use 159 battle dragons 20 swift dragons 25 LBM 30 minataur will i beat the the anthroups camp
@123 it really depends on your levels of research. Once you clear a camp, you can get away with sending waves of less troops. It doesn't take that long to train a bunch of Longbowmen, so once you get enough to clear a level 5 camp just follow the steps in the guide.

people here is a comprehensive list of what you need to defeat anthropus camps 1-5 First, it takes 3-4 days to train 6,000 lbm with one Lv 8 garison and 2 level 1 garisons
100 LongBowMen + 30 ArmoredTransports=Lvl 1 Anthopus Camp
400 LBM + 50 AT=Lvl 2 Anthropous camp
1000 LBM + 75 AT=Lvl 3 AC
2500 LBM + 100 AT=Lvl 4 AC
6000 LBM + 100 AT=Lvl 5 AC

to get pop. up, upgrade houses or build new ones. I reccomend 7 houses per city.

can you attack and defeat a lvl 5 camp with 4766 lbm, 4845 minitor, 300 battle dragons, and 112 armored transport's. All of my researches are above lvl 5
You should be fine with just the lbm and ATs. The dragons, because of their speed, will get to the camp first and probably be wiped out. Just send your lbm and ATs.
You don't need ur dragonry level 8 to study aerial combat but it would help

To attack a level 9 wilderness with no losses, you just need 7,000 LBM and about 700 ATs.
I just used 5k LBM and attacked one level 5 anthropus camp. Got the full armor set in 2 hours.
i have 1500 venom dwellers and i send about 500 in intervals and i only lose 1 vd every time

It's not necessary to use the wave attack strategy, it just is the most efficient.
Can 200 lbm hit lvl 1 camp
i got tired of training 28000 LBM so when i had 8000 LBM i continuously attacked a L5 camp and got 2 armors in two hours..thanks for the advice
