Dragons of Atlantis Stone Dragon Egg Guide
80In Dragons of Atlantis, a Stone Dragon Egg is required to start your second outpost and raise your Great Stone Dragon. Your Stone Dragon Outpost is set up exactly like a Water Dragon Outpost and functions the same as well. The reason for having another outpost is to expand your empire and use your Outpost to collect more resources, train more troops, and have another Dragon to use in attacks. Controlling a second outpost also gives you access to controlling up to 9 additional wilderness plots, meaning that you can afford to feed more troops and gain resources at a much higher rate.
Also, according to the developers, the Great Stone Dragon has expanded defensive abilities which could play a big role in defending your army when at war.
Where to find a Stone Dragon Egg
You can find your Stone Dragon Egg by conquering level 7 and higher Hills. It seems the drop rate gets more favorable as you attack higher level Hills (8,9,10). I got my Stone Dragon Egg from a level 9 Hill that was right next to my city. It took me around 300 hits to find my Stone Dragon Egg and I have heard that this is about average. Some players found their egg after conquering level 7 and higher Hills 20 times and I heard of one player who had nearly 1,000 hits before the egg dropped.
UPDATE: After the change in game mechanics, you can now only find a Stone Dragon Egg by attacking a level 7 or higher Hills wilderness with your Great Dragon or another Elemental Dragon.
Farming for your Egg
The best way to farm for your Stone Dragon Egg is to find a level 7 or higher Hill close to your city, wipe out the Anthropus, and then continually hit it with small waves of troops before the monsters can respawn. Make sure that you control a wilderness for each open slot (based on the level of your castle) so that after your army attacks and defeats the Hill, they automatically return to your city and can be sent out again.
Fast Farming
When farming for your Stone Dragon Egg, it doesn't matter if there are monsters defending the level 7+ Hill or not, your egg could still drop. The fastest way to farm your egg is by following the steps below:
- Find the closest level 7 or higher Hill to your city.
- Attack it with a large enough army to wipe it out without any losses. If you already have a Water Dragon Outpost, this should not be a problem. Just sent all of your Longbowmen and your Great Dragon.
- Once your attackers return, send them right back out.
- Keep going for about 20 minutes or until you find your Stone Dragon Egg.
- If you do not find an egg within 20 minutes, switch to another Hill (maybe try a higher level one).

I got my water egg less than 2 min.Now finding great dragon armor and stone dragon egg.thx,this guide really useful.
i've been doing this on lvl 8 hill for more than 20 mins and still nothing: the egg won't show up... :(

how many troops
i am going to attack a lev 9 hill
i am sending 5 waves
i have 1,000 swift dragons and 1,600 minotars and 100 bowmen and 1,600 warriors.what do i need more to win lv 9 hills?
this doesnt work anymore now that your dragon has to go on every attack.
I got my SD egg around 10 times only...but 1/2 of the attacking are Lvl 10 hill
I thought you had to have a great dragon on each wave for it to drop?
i fought the hill for about 500 times lv8 hill and it still did not drop the stone dragon egg

Just wondering, does my water dragon have to be with a full armor for my stone egg to drop or it doesn't matter?
You can get your Stone Dragon Egg without your Water Dragon having any armor.
To get a stone dragon egg do I have to send my grand dragon with each attack ?

Been hitting a L7 hill all day without no reward, and yes I've been sending my grand dragon along for the ride. Not keen on higher levels as I'm losing 1 to 2 battle dragons per hit.
i attacked a lv 7 hill and got my stone drgon egg in that one hit

No, you do not need to have your Water Dragon Armor to get your Stone Dragon Egg. You do need to have your Water Dragon Outpost built to get your Stone Dragon Egg though.

i know this page is about the egg but i just follow the same guidelines and got the final two pieces of the armour in a total of 6 attacks on two different lv10 hills it took about ten mins at most thank you so much.

Egg dropped from Lv. 8 Hill. I attacked once without Great Dragon to wipe out enemy and once with my Great dragon.
i have been attacking for 3 months now still mothing
i know how to get it send spies and if it has sd egg attack it
Uzi, spies don't always notify you about the egg. You can keep attacking the same Hill and eventually get the egg. My advice would be to focus on sending troops along with your Great or elemental dragons.
i got my water dragon egg the 2nd attack and now im working on the stone dragon, u really helped me out thx
